January 17, 2019 in Saskatoon

The next SFSDC Grower Information Session and Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in SASKATOON on JANUARY 17, 2019. The session will start at 1 pm and will be held at the Radisson Hotel, 405 - 20th Street East, Saskatoon. There is no charge for the event. Please bring your friends and neighbours!!

The SFSDC Board of Directors was encouraged to hold this year’s meeting in Saskatoon during Crop Production Week. Similar to last year, the meeting will be held in the same location as the Alfalfa Seed and Leafcutter Bee Conference.

Our featured speakers include Calvin Yoder, Forage Seed Crops Agrologist with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry. Calvin has worked in forage seed research in the Peace River Region of Alberta for many years and has a wealth of knowledge on herbicide screening and plant growth regulator testing on many forage seed crops.

Other speakers are: Jessica Pratchler, Research Manager with the Northeast Agriculture Research Foundation will describe results of the 2018 forage seed research program at the Melfort Research Farm; Dan Malamura and Dr. Sean Prager with the University of Saskatchewan will talk about their red clover management and lesser clover leaf weevil project; and Terry Kowalchuk, Provincial Forage Crop Specialist will present the forage seed market update. Additional speakers will be announced later.

Please join us during Crop Production Week 2019 in Saskatoon for the annual forage seed grower information session and AGM. For more information about additional speakers and event details, please check the EVENTS page.
